North Carolina State Wolfpack offensive lineman Cameron Fordham has been granted his release from the university to transfer anywhere outside of the ACC. Fordham, who came to N.C. State after transferring from LSU, is believed to be favoring a transfer to FAU, where he would compete for a job on the Owls offensive line.

Ryan Bartow of passed along the news:

Fordham was a three-star recruit out of Northview High in Duluth, Georgia, before making the transition from tight end to offensive line.

In 2012, Fordham started for the Wolfpack in their upset win over the then No.3-ranked Florida State Seminoles, while seeing action in seven other games. He has the athleticism and versatility to slide around and develop into a solid starter, so whatever school lands Fordham as a transfer will be picking up an intriguing prospect.
