PGA Tour: Ian Poulter commits to Farmers Insurance Open

Ian Poulter has committed to play in the Farmers Insurance Open.  The PGA Tour tournament is played at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, CA, January 23-26.

Poulter has won two World Golf Championships, and has a stellar 12-3 record in the Ryder Cup.

The soon to be 38-year-old splits his time between the PGA Tour and European Tour.  In 2013, Poulter secured four top-tens on the PGA Tour and earned $1.7 million in prize money.  He found more success on the European Tour, finishing second behind Henrik Stenson in the Race to Dubai.

Poulter is known as a fiery competitor, especially at the Ryder Cup.  There is no player on the planet who wants his team to win more than Poulter.

Poulter is one of the most popular players on Tour.  His Twitter account exceeds 1.5 million followers.  Here are a couple tweets about his golf game.  Looks like he is ready to play!
