When the NBA announced that they would be rolling out “nickname jerseys” for select games this season, we learned that Miami Heat guard Ray Allen would be sporting “J. Shuttlesworth” on his name plate as a reference to his character in the Spike Lee film “He Got Game.”

As it turns out, the attention that the Shuttlesworth will be generating could end up being a brilliant marketing ploy for Allen and Lee, as they consider the possibility of making a sequel for the basketball movie.

According to an ESPN report, Allen says that he and Lee have been talking about a sequel for the 1998 film over the course of the last few months and that they would be interested in including actors Denzel Washington and Rosario Dawson to the mix if they can find an appropriate story line.

The Heat will be wearing their nickname jerseys against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.

We know that he will be returning to the court, but could Jesus Shuttlesworth be returning to the silver screen as well? We will have to wait and see.
