The Pittsburgh Pirates have added to their shortstop depth by announcing the signing of Robert Andino. The contract is a minor league deal with an invite to Spring Training.

Andino spent 2013 with the Seattle Mariners, after four seasons with the Baltimore Orioles, posting a .184/.253/.237 slash line in just 85 plate appearances. During his 360 games with Baltimore, he hit to the tune of .239/.302/.326, playing the majority of his games at second base and shortstop. He is considered an above-average defender.

The Legacy Agency client figures to slot behind Jordy Mercer and Clint Barmes up the middle for the Pirates.

Andino was actually playing for Indy at the end of last season. He signed with the Bucs after Seattle released him

He was playing for whom? I don’t recall Indy having an MLB team.
