‘American Horror Story: Coven’ Winter Premiere Preview ‘The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks’

The wait is finally over! Tonight, FX will air the Winter Premiere of American Horror Story: Coven. There is so much going on right now in the world of witches and voodoo that it could make a person’s head spin. So, let’s take a look at what we can expect from tonight’s all-new episode entitled “The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks.”

When last left everyone, Marie Laveaux’s tribe came under siege by the Witch Hunters, or more specifically Hank. Hank pretty much wiped out all of Marie’s tribe. As he was about to make short work of Marie herself, Queenie made her way to the back, and with the assistance of a discarded weapon she found on the ground, she put Hank’s time on this Earth to a screaming halt.

I think it is safe to say that Hank’s father, the head of the organization, will not be too happy about this. You can bet your bottom dollar that this is not the last time we have seen the Witch Hunters.

After watching all of her friends and/or minions die, Marie fled to the Academy to see Fiona. Apparently, Fiona’s previous offer of peace doesn’t seem so bad after all. Not so cocky without your voodoo army behind you, eh?

Now, we have the battle for the Supremacy. Fiona, the current Supreme, isn’t even dead yet, and there are people that are plotting their path to take her position. According to the episode synopsis, Madison is about to make her move to lessen the opposition to a Supremacy in which she feels she deserves.

Then, we have Luke. When last we saw Luke, he was held up in the hospital after taking a bullet from Hank I an effort to save Nan. Just as it seemed that Nan and Joan, Luke’s mother, had come to a mutual understanding, everything came to a screeching halt. Luke revealed to Nan, who then revealed to Joan, that he knows it was Joan who was responsible for killing his father.

Unable to handle what she knows to be true, or more so, risk exposure for her indiscretion, she places a pillow over an incapacitated Luke’s head and began to suffocate him. Is there any chance that he gets out of that alive? Will Nan be able to hear his cries for help?

Speaking of the Supremacy, Fiona has no plans of going anywhere anytime soon. In order to protect her station, Fiona attempts everything within her power to root out the new Supreme so that she can eliminate her, thus extending her reign as Supreme. Her first effort will be to put together a surprise visit by Stevie Nicks. Yes, the real Stevie Nicks. This is no doubt an attempt by Fiona to lure out the true powers of Misty Day, who is absolutely obsessed with the Fleetwood Mac singer.

Let’s not forget about Madame LaLaurie. As most of you know, Madame LaLaurie was relieved of her head by Marie Laveaux. When the rampage started, she was out of harm’s way. Well, at least her head was. With the entire tribe wiped out, and knowing Marie’s undying hatred for Delphine, what is going to become of her now?

Soon, we will also be introduced to a new character who will weigh heavily on Marie Laveaux’s story. We will be introduced to Papa Legba, who will be played by Fringe star Lance Reddick. According to reports, he is what you could refer to as a “Voodoo Satan.” It will be very interesting to see how he plays into the chaos that is already ensuing on American Horror Story: Coven.

Are you excited to finally have Coven back? What are you most looking forward to from tonight’s episode? Let us know what you think.
