Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel has filed paper work to enter the 2014 NFL draft. He joins fellow quarterbacks Blake Bortles of Central Florida and Louisville Cardinals‘ Teddy Bridgewater. ESPN magazine released a graphic comparing the two quarterback’s careers.
The passing numbers are strikingly similar. Manziel threw for 4,114 yards compared to Bridgewater’s 3,970 yards. Both averaged around the same amount of yards per pass attempt and have similar adjusted quartebrack ratings. Manziel holds a slight edge over Bridgewater in both categories.
The graphic doesn’t compare rushing stats. Manziel rushed for a career 2,169 yards and 30 touchdowns. Bridgewater rushed for only 170 yards and six touchdowns.
