The BCS National Championship game is freshly in the books and a number of Florida State Seminoles underclassmen will now turn their focus towards their decision on whether or not to enter for the 2014 NFL Draft ahead of next week’s Jan. 15 deadline to declare.

One of the most highly touted Florida State prospects is defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan, who put together an impressive performance in the title game before gassing out in the final minutes.

By all accounts, Jernigan is expected to forgo his final year of eligibility to go pro.

From Rand Getlin of Yahoo! Sports:

If Jernigan does declare, then he is fully expected to be a first-round pick.

In fact, many believe that Jernigan could be the top defensive tackle available and being selected in the top ten would not be out of the question.
