Former Notre Dame quarterback Andrew Hendrix graduated but with a year left of eligibility, he wanted to be let out of his scholarship, so he could pursue a Master’s Degree and play quarterback for another team.  Hendrix has opted to follow his offensive coordinator Chuck Martin to Miami(OH) according to reports.  A move that was widely expected, Hendrix should be the starting quarterback for the Redhawks next season.

Hendrix has not played much in his career for the Irish and even with Tommy Rees graduating this year, the Irish have Everett Golson coming back and the starting job is all but assured for him.  This gives Hendrix to go out and get a chance to play his senior season in the MAC and hopefully get to enjoy some success along with the coach that groomed him in South Bend.

Miami(OH) had a miserable season last year and these two moves combined could work to help them make a quick move and improve within that conference.
