Johnny Manziel receives first-round NFL Draft grade from Draft Advisory Board

Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel made the very unsurprising decision to declare for the NFL Draft his year by making an official announcement on Wednesday. It didn’t take long for teams to start being linked to Manziel and after being graded by the NFL Draft Advisory Board, his stick will continue to climb.

According to Joe Schad, the NFL Draft Advisory Board gave Manziel a first-round grade, which secures him in the eyes of many as a first-round lock.

This was a no secret as many already had Manziel in the first round at the beginning of the season, which at the time was controversial. But after people eased up on fighting trends, Manziel is in almost everyone’s mock draft as going well before the 15th pick of the draft.

Being graded a first-round pick by the Advisory Board is merely a formality, like the Miami Heat having to play regular season games.

The real question is where Manziel will go. He has he grade, he has declared and has all his behind-the-scenes ducks in a row. He’s a lock for the top-10 of the draft and the drama as to who will be the team that starts Johnny Football’s pro career has begun.
