Washington Nationals first baseman Adam LaRoche is spending his winter in the cold while so many are avoiding going outdoors. Specifically he went on a snowy hunt somewhere.

On the hunt, LaRoche killed a mountain lion with a bow. He then posed with the mountain lion over his shoulders.

Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard writes:

It’s no secret that LaRoche is (clearly) big into hunting — some of his favorite hunting partners include Matt Light of the Patriots as well as Willie and Jep Roberts, who star on Duck Dynasty.

And for those wondering, it is legal to hunt Mountain Lions in several states.

LaRoche might face some backlash from animal rights groups about this. It is the second animal related story we’ve heard out of the Nationals today. We also learned that Jayson Werth’s Great Dane peed in the clubhouse.
