It’s not a secret that Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White is one of the more outspoken players in the NFL, and he was at it again on Wednesday, this time putting his general manager hat on as he lobbied for his team to draft South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney in the upcoming NFL Draft.

After their abysmal year in 2013 in which they went 4-12, the Falcons own the sixth pick in the first round of the Draft in May, so this may be plausible if Clowney is still sitting there. White then went on to provide just a little bit more insight into his theory by pointing out that Clowney’s presence in Atlanta will also be beneficial to the guys on his side of the ball as well.

While we’re generally quick to jump down White’s throat for some of his comments, because frankly sometimes he deserves it, he’s not necessarily wrong in this instance and the Falcons could use some help with the pass rush.
