Florida State DT Timmy Jernigan declaring for the NFL Draft per Joe Schad

Florida State defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan is declaring for the NFL Draft according to Joe Schad of ESPN.  Jernigan showed off why he can be so good in the National Championship against Auburn in how disruptive he can be.  He also showed why critics have concerns with him, because of how often he was off of the field in key moments and how tired he could be on it.  Jernigan has a ton of talent, but needs to be more consistent with his technique and get better with his motor and stamina.

The current defensive tackle class is up in the air enough where Jernigan could find himself going in the first round.  He has experience playing as a 3-technique, 1-technique and nose tackle in the Seminoles defensive scheme.  Jernigan still may just be scratching the surface on how good he can be, but he leaves Tallahassee with a National Championship on top of his other accomplishments.
