Five-star cornerback Jalen Tabor committed to the Arizona Wildcats over the Alabama Crimson Tide exactly one week ago at the Under Armour All-American Game, but today he flipped and has committed to the Florida Gators.
Florida has been in the mix with the 6-1, 182-pound cornerback who is listed in the 247Sports composite rankings as the nation’s No. 24 recruit and No. 4 corner, but fell behind his two aforementioned finalists as well as the Maryland Terrapins who were initially believed to be his front-runner.
Tabor was planning to enroll early at Arizona and will not hope to do so at Florida pending the results of final exams. He took one of his official visits to Gainesville on Dec. 6 and his favorite player is former Gators cornerback Joe Haden.
Tabor will combine with last year’s top freshman cornerback and Freshman All-American Vernon Hargreaves III to give the Gators a formidable set of corners for opposing SEC offenses to pass against in the coming years.
