Johnny Manziel: Fran Tarkenton would love to see QB in a Minnesota Vikings uniform

Dec 31, 2013; Atlanta, GA, USA; Texas A

On Wednesday, Texas A&M Heisman-winning quarterback Johnny Manziel officially declared that he will be heading to the 2014 NFL Draft, which will now lead to the next few months of speculation as to where Manziel will end up at the professional level.

Shortly after the announcement, we got a little bit of insight from one of the legendary quarterbacks that Manziel has been compared to in terms of versatility, as legendary Minnesota Vikings QB Fran Tarkenton apparently would love to see Johnny Football take take the reins in Minnesota.

After the initial reaction, Tarkenton would go on to drop even some more praise on the Aggies legend.

This idea isn’t all that far-fetched, seeing as the Vikes own the eighth pick in the 2014 NFL Draft and have been rumored to want someone under center, given the struggles of Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel this past season.
