Kevin Garnett compares his game to calling a woman late at night, booty call

The Brooklyn Nets got a tough 102-98 win at home over the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors came into the game with a 10-game winning streak and the chance to have the first 7-0 road trip in NBA history.

“They came out and gave us a big blow in the first quarter. I thought we kept our composure and then fought back,” said Garnett, via ESPN.

“That’s a very good team that we played tonight and a very good team that we beat tonight.”

The Nets were trailing by one point heading into the fourth quarter, that is when Kevin Garnett turned it on, scoring 11 of his 13 points in the final quarter. After the game, he compared turning it on to a late-night call to a lady friend.

“I want it to be that when I dial it up, I want her to pick the phone up,” Garnett told reporters, via the New York Daily News‘ Stefan Bondy. “Tonight, I dialed and she was right there, answering like she’s supposed to.”

The Nets just need “her” to be sitting by the phone more often.
