Redskins name Jay Gruden new head coach
By Josh Sanchez
Reports surfaced on Thursday morning that the Cincinnati Bengals were close to losing offensive coordinator Jay Gruden. As it turns out, they have. Just a few moments after chatter began that Gruden was finalizing a deal to become the next head coach of the Washington Redskins, it was confirmed that he will be the new leading man.
From Adam Schefter of ESPN:
It is going to be interesting to see how Gruden handles the pressures of being the man in charge after running the Bengals offense, but he must have the support of quarterback Robert Griffin III if he was named to the position.
Do you think that Gruden will be able to succeed in the nation’s capital? Sound off in the comments section below.
