Ric Flair has received death threats from Carolina Panthers fans and will not attend the playoff game on Sunday between the No. 2 seed Panthers and the San Francisco 49ers who received a pep talk from the legendary wrestler last weekend, according to NESN.

Flair has even given a pep talk to the Panthers earlier this season when the Panthers beat the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football, but the wrestler who lives in Charlotte, N.C., will not be taking in the game in Bank Of America Stadium on Sunday in a rematch of the two who met in the regular season, won by Carolina.

Panthers receiver Steve Smith criticized the former WWE superstar about his bandwagon jumping, according to NESN saying that Flair “burned a bridge” with the team by giving the 49ers a pep talk before their game in Green Bay last weekend.”

"“What can I say? I’ve always been a very good heel!” Flair said."

64-year-old wrestlers receiving death threats from football-crazed fans sounds so crazy that it could be a storyline for the next pay-per-view wrestling event.
