San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews and company are coming off a huge win over the Cincinnati Bengals during last weekends exciting opening round of the playoffs.

With the team preparing themselves for another tough match up against the Denver Broncos, they have been without Mathews and center Nick Hardwick the last couple of days. According to Michael Gehlken on Twitter, Mathews remained out of practice today alongside Hardwick.

Hardwick was diagnosed with a concussion and is currently under the league’s concussion protocol. He could be in danger of missing this weekends showdown with Peyton Manning and the Broncos.

Mathews may have missed practice today but he will more than likely suit up and take the field. His injury may be a bigger concern, so he could receive a limited snap count with Danny Woodhead picking up whatever he doesn’t get.
