Texas A&M OT Cedric Ogbuehi staying for senior year

Texas A&M offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi has decided to return for his senior year in College Station.  Ogbuehi is following an interesting pattern that has developed for the Aggies.  Two years ago, Luke Joeckel played left tackle while Jake Matthews played right tackle.  Joeckel went to the NFL Draft, went second overall and Matthews stayed and moved to left tackle.  This year, Matthews is going to the NFL and projected to go extremely high, likely the top 5 to 10 picks and Ogbuehi is staying, likely moving over to the left side.  Ogbuehi was regarded as a potential first round pick like Matthews was last year.

The key difference for Ogbuehi is that Johnny Manziel and Mike Evans will be going to the NFL Draft with Matthews, so while the Aggies could be good next year, the championship expectations might not be there.  Nevertheless, Kevin Sumlin has the top quarterback prospect in the country committed and he is all set to reload.

Ogbuehi sees the NFL and wants to go, but he seems to be intent on improving his craft and finishing his degree.  He should be able to get much better and refine his technique to match his impressive athleticism and simply get stronger.
