When you come into the NBA as a rookie, you expect to get an education through experiencing utter embarrassment. That’s how you learn, even when you’re a truly gifted player that could end up being a franchise star. The Phoenix Suns are hoping that Alex Len can be that franchise star, but he’s paying dues against the Memphis Grizzlies as the rookie was posterized by Ed Davis on Friday night.

We like to see players posterized, but it’s especially juicy when it happens to rookies. Not only are posterizing dunks some of the most exciting plays in the NBA, but they usually put a player into check that we want to see put into check.

No one has anything against Alex Len, but getting posterized and having people enjoy it just comes with the territory of being a big man in the NBA these days. Len will get his time to be on the giving end, but for now, his education is coming courtesy of professor Davis.
