Holding a grudge isn’t overly productive, but it seems as if former San Francisco 49ers long snapper Brian Jennings wants to have one with Cam Newton – though only in fun.

Jennings, a former Pro Bowl participant teamed up with Cam Newton in Hawaii during the NFL’s 2012 All Star game, a game which Netwon reportedly didn’t take very seriously:

"We have Drew Brees with his playbook all week, studying. … We have Cam Newton with his head phones on all week goofing off. … We go into the game, and this guy is chucking the ball all over the place, and everybody is looking around going, ‘What’s this guy doing? Are you kidding?’ The punter and I look at each other and say, ‘We are going to have a long second half.’ We punted five times.”"

The NFC ended up losing the game 59-41, which Jennings jokingly suggested cost him and his fellow teammates $25,000 dollars.

"“Cam Newton owes me $25,000, a lot of people don’t know that,” Jennings said on Wednesday morning’s Murph and Mac Show on KNBR."

Of course, Jennings never specifically said he was joking during the radio interview, though he sounded as if he was kidding and simply trying to rile up the fan bases before their big playoff matchup this weekend.
