The Indiana Pacers are a team that belongs to Roy Hibbert and Paul George, but what truly makes a team great is the players you put around your superstars. All great teams have had stellar supporting casts and that is true this year of the Indiana Pacers. David West isn’t a young man and George Hill isn’t a top point guard but both combined for a terrific play that shows why the Pacers are so dominant.
Hill threw a full-court pass to West during Friday night’s game against the Washington Wizards which resulted in David West grabbing it and throwing it down for a violent slam dunk.
In the words of Keith Olbermann, this pass from Hill came from way downtown and the 33-year old West was there to sip out of the fountain of youth and power home the dunk. You’re only as good as the players you put around your NBA superstar and the Pacers are all patting themselves on the back right now.
