Golfer's tan is part of the job

Here is a photo of Stewart Cink’s head via Golf Digest’s Twitter account.  Ben Taylor (@BTtrey4) took the photo:

Stewart Cink is a veteran on the PGA Tour, and has had many years to develop one of the all-time great tan lines in golf.

If you are a golfer, tan lines are part of the job.  The sock tan is notorious, as is the bicep tan, and the neck tan.  You need to be a bald guy to form a “halo” tan like Stewart Cink.  Right now, I’m sporting a bit of a forehead tan line.  Luckily, I still have my hair, but not for long!

Cink is a six-time winner on the PGA Tour, including the 2009 Open Championship.  On Thursday, he shot an opening round 69 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, and is currently tied for 48th.

Sang-Moon Bae is the overnight leader with a seven-under 63, and Chris Kirk is in second place with a 64.  John Daly is in the field this week and shot a four-under 66 (T6).  Jason Dufner and Adam Scott both opened with 67s, and are currently tied for 12th.
