The Chicago Bulls traded Luol Deng this week to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Joakim Noah is not a happy camper. He has refused to talk to the media and is retreating into a shell of depression over losing one of his favorite players to play with in the Bulls frontcourt.
One way basketball players heal from this kind of heartache is to take it out on an opponent and tonight is a bad night to be a Milwaukee Bucks player trying to score points in the paint. Right off the bat in the first quarter of Friday’s game, Bucks guard Brandon Knight tried to drive to the bucket with a layup and was promptly told by Joakim Noah that the pain was a no-fly zone tonight.
The Bulls have a lot of soul searching to do as they dismantle their roster, but Joakim Noah prefers to do less talking about his feelings and more pounding of bodies and basketballs in the paint.
