If you are a fan of mixed martial arts, you should be very familiar with the Gracie family who helped to build the sport. The latest Gracie that is preparing to try their hand at MMA is Kron Gracie, who happens to be one of the most prolific jiu jitsu players on the planet.

As Gracie continues to negotiate a contract for his MMA debut, he wants to make it clear that he is setting out to prove jiu jitsu is still the best martial art.

“Taking fists in the face is not as difficult as I thought. Jiu-Jitsu is a lot harder than Boxing, more complex sport,” Gracie said, via Bloody Elbow. “I’m here to show that Jiu-Jitsu is still the best martial art.”

There is no guarantee that Gracie will be successful in a transition to mixed martial arts, but he is more than willing to give it a try.

well, if not thrown to the wolves too early. He has trained with the Diaz brothers and even they were impressed. His Jiu Jitsu style is the second best i have seen for MMA (Second to Jacare) very functional and i wish him the best.

I can not understand why Kron Gracie wants to prove Jiu-Jitsu is still the best martial art ? Because i think its the best martial art form itself.
