The Chicago Bears are still trying to figure out what they want to do with veteran corner Charles ‘Peanut’ Tillman. They need to consider bringing him back after everything he’s done with the team, but that may not happen due to the injuries he’s sustained over the last couple years.

Tillman had an injury plagued season this year with the Chicago Bears and was sidelined because of a severe one. A year ago Tillman was punching the ball out of the grasp of defenders at record pace and helped this team tie the Interceptions returned for touchdowns record.

Now that he could be looking for a new home, what are the chances he joins former Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith in Tampa Bay? I think it’s something that will be considered more than anything. I think retirement could be a serious option as well considering his age, but knowing Peanut he’s going to want to play at least two more years.

If Tillman were to join Lovie and Leslie in Tampa Bay, that would be a huge improvement to their secondary. Having Tillman, the punch out machine with Revis would do wonders for him in the long haul. Or anybody defensive back on that roster. I just hope he doesn’t get MRSA.

Seriously, there’s something going on in Tampa Bay.

Players on Chicago’s roster were a bit taken by surprise when Lovie Smith was released by the Chicago Bears. Devin Hester even contemplated retirement after hearing about the decision that was made regarding Smith’s job. Lovie is a great coach and had a strong bond with a lot of players on that roster.

I’m not gonna lie, I still miss seeing that man on the sidelines.

What do you think Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans? Would you like to see Lovie Smith attract some of his former Bears players to Tampa? They have Devin Hester, Henry Melton and Charles Tillman available right now.
