The Denver Nuggets defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 101-88 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.  The Nuggets improved to 18-17, and the Thunder fell to 27-9.

The Nuggets opened an 89-66 lead after three quarters, and cruised to victory with most of the Thunder starters on the bench in the fourth.

Denver has now won four games in a row.  Head coach Brian Shaw partly attributes the Nuggets’ success to an “open air” meeting after losing eight straight games.

Denver top performers: Randy Foye scored 24 points, including six of nine from downtown.  Evan Fournier netted 19 points and grabbed four boards in 18 minutes.  Ty Lawson added 16 points, 14 assists, seven rebounds, and three steals.  Kenneth Faried and Quincy Miller each chipped in nine points, and Faried collected 14 rebounds.

Oklahoma City top performers: Kevin Durant scored a game-high 30 points along with three rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Reggie Jackson netted 13 points, collected four rebounds, dropped five dimes, and stole the ball twice. Derek Fisher added 12 points and six rebounds.  Serge Ibaka finished with eight points and ten rebounds.

Next game: The Nuggets play the Magic on Saturday at 9 pm ET.  The Thunder will try to end their two-game slide against the Bucks on Saturday at 8 pm ET.
