Report: Clippers shooting guard JJ Redick to play tonight against the Lakers

According to Brad Turner of the LA Times, J.J. Redick says he will be back in action tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers.

J.J. Redick has been sidelined since November 29th with a wrist injury.  He is averaging 15.8 points, 2.0 assists, and 2.2 rebounds in his first season with the Los Angeles Clippers.  Redick has been a starter in all 17 games he has played for the Clips.

Tonight’s game between the city rivals will be their second matchup of the year. The Lakers beat the Clippers 116-103 in the season-opener on October 29th.

The Lakers are struggling without Kobe Bryant, Steve Blake, and Xavier Henry.  They have lost nine of their last ten games. Hopefully, the intensity of the rivalry will give the Lakers a much needed boost.

Tipoff is at 10:30 pm ET on ESPN.

Brad Turner is also reporting the Clippers are interested in acquiring Andrew Bynum.  Many commentators have reported a title contender is where Bynum would like to end up.
