The New Orleans Saints were down big in the first half of their Divisional Playoff game with the Seattle Seahawks on the road on Saturday afternoon, down 16-0 at the half, but they’ve found a way to get some things done in the second half to make things a little tighter.
Throughout much of the afternoon, this stifling Seahawks defense has been all over Drew Brees and company, but no matter how suffocating they are, that still doesn’t help when a little luck is involved.
On this play in the fourth quarter, down 16-8, Brees dropped back and lofted one toward the left side, but it was a bit underthrown.
The Seahawks safety came over to make the play, but his fingertips were just out of reach to get the interception, the ball was tipped and went right into the waiting hands of wide receiver Robert Meachem.
Unfortunately, the drive resulted in no points for the Saints as they ended up missing the field goal attempt on the drive.
