The beginning of the year means that networks around television are locking in their 2014 strategy and are setting premiere dates for either new shows or shows that are returning to the air for a new season. One network who has been able to capture audiences everywhere is AMC and they did so thanks in large part to their hit series Breaking Bad and it’s final season in 2013.
But the show isn’t going anywhere, despite ending it’s initial run with the network, as the spinoff Better Call Saul has not only gotten an official green light to air, AMC has set a premiere date as well.
According to Variety, Better Call Saul is slated to premiere on AMC in November 2014.
This is good news to fans of Breaking Bad who were wondering what the status of Better Call Saul was going to be as we entered 2014. There was still some doubt that the show would get a green light beyond a pilot episode, but the series is going to kick off it’s first season in November and continue to air through the month.
The series follows Walter White’s shady lawyer Saul Goodman as we learn both where he came from before the events of Breaking Bad and where he is now that the series is over.
No specific date in November has yet been given, but the series has been confirmed to be coming to AMC that month.
