Late Friday night, Missouri Tigers wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham was arrested on suspicion of felony drug charges. There was no bail set for the star wideout initially, but he was released early from Greene County Jail in Springfield, Missouri and was not charged.
While there had been very view details on the arrest, it is now being reported that police found “approximately one pound” of marijuana when they stopped Green-Beckham and there was also drug paraphernalia present.
David Morrison of the Columbia Daily Tribune had the details:
Springfield PD statement says police found “approximately a pound of marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia” during DGB traffic stop.

The vehicle was stopped because of having expired plates and police smelled marijuana as they approached the 1999 Jeep Cherokee. It is important to note that Green-Beckham was not the only passenger in the vehicle.
Green-Beckham has been arrested on marijuana charges in the past, which led to his suspension from the team. Green-Beckham was one of five Missouri players charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana back in October of 2012. These charges were later dropped.
It is just the latest misstep in Green-Beckham’s career, so it will be interesting to see what Missouri plans to do with their troubled, but talented star.
