While Kansas has one of the better looking uniforms in NCAA basketball, sometimes a change is nice.

Knowing that, the Jayhawks decided to switch things up this season and will wear alternate uniforms throughout the season, starting with their contest against the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday.

The first uniform (and the one Kansas will wear today) is about as simplistic as one can get. Nothing more than a white uniform with a blue script which is being called the CHALK jersey (as in Rock Chalk Jayhawk). Simple or not, it’s a pretty sweet looking thread.

The second jersey Kansas will eventually wear is what they’re calling the ‘PHOG’ in honor of former head coach Phog Allen. Unlike the aforementioned ‘CHALK’ jersey, this alternate is a bit more colorful as the uniform is a near powder blue base with white lettering outlined in red. The entire front of the uniform is covered by the script and number which appears to be in a carnival type font.

Personally, I’m a pretty big fan of both.
