North Carolina at Syracuse final score: Orange remain unbeaten by handling Tar Heels at home 57-45

The North Carolina Tar Heels traveled on the road Saturday to the Carrier Dome to take on the second-ranked, and unbeaten, Syracuse Orange. After getting off to a pretty good start, Roy Williams and the Heels fell to Jim Boeheim and the Orange, 57-45.

Carolina actually held a lead on Syracuse for the first 10 minutes of the game, but then the athleticism and talent of this Orange team took right over and never looked back.

Forward Jerami Grant was overall the most dominant force on the Carrier Dome floor for Syracuse on Saturday, recording a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds on the afternoon.

Scoring wise, C.J. Fair led the way again for this undefeated squad with 20 points on 6-of-14 shooting and freshman guard Tyler Ennis added in 10 points of his own with seven assists to go along with that, making a case for him being in the conversation of the best freshmen in the nation.

With the win, Syracuse improves to 16-0 now and are 3-0 in the ACC in their first season as a member. North Carolina drops to 10-6 in this whirlwind season they’re enduring thus far.
