Will The Raid 2: Berandal be better than the first? (Trailer)

Action movies, the type of films that grab the attention of male viewers and keeps them wanting more.

If you haven’t checked out The Raid: Redemption and you happen to love action packed movies, you need to watch it as soon as possible. I think it’s on Netflix, but it is a foreign film so you’ll have to use either subtitles or see if they have it in English.

I’m going to do my best not to spoil the first movie for those who haven’t watched it yet. But it features an Indonesian S.W.A.T. team who becomes trapped in a giant apartment building that’s run by a mobster and his machete wielding thugs.

It’s nothing but fighting through out the movie and has some of the best fight scenes you’ve seen in awhile. IP Man, Ong Bak and The Protector have had a couple fight scenes that made the hair on my arms stand up.

Now both Raid’s were directed by Gareth Evans, who is a Welsh born director who has directed a couple movies before The Raid: Redemption. He actually had a segment in 2013’s V/H/S 2 called “Safe Haven”.

Evans has worked with The Raid star Iko Uwais (Rama in The Raid) in another movie titled ‘Merantau’ before starting this series.

In The Raid 2: Berandal, we see Rama (now has a family) going undercover as he tries to get close to a mob bosses son who is in Prison. He undergoes training once again which results in him being “arrested” and sent to the same facility as the mob bosses son. That’s when it looks like things go haywire afterwards. The film is to be said to take place two hours after The Raid: Redemption.

Returning is Iko Uwais as Rama, Donny Alamsyah as Andi and Yayan Ruhian who played Mad Dog in the first. Again, if you haven’t checked out the first Raid, you need to do so as soon as possible.

Here’s a look at the sequel that will be released (I’m thinking limited release) on March 28th. I know I’m excited about this film.
