Golden Globes 2014: Amy Adams Wins the Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy (GIF)

Robert Downey Jr.  just announced the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy. And the award goes to…Amy Adams for American Hustle.

As I said before, you would more than likely be hearing the name American Hustle more than once tonight. This time, it was for Amy Adams and her portrayal of Sydney Prosser is American Hustle.

Adams has been nominated for five Golden Globe Awards over the course of her career; twice for Best Actress and three times for Best Supporting Actress. This is her first win.

Tonight, all the best and brightest in film and television descend upon the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hill, California for the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards. The show, hosted by comediennes and Saturday Night Live alums Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, is arguably the biggest party of the year.

The Golden Globes have always been known as a precursor to the Oscars, so don’t be surprised if you see some of these same names walk away with statues when the Oscars come on March 2, 2014.
