The New York Knicks are struggling and Carmelo Anthony has to be counting down the days to free agency. When it comes he’ll have a tough decision on what to do with his basketball future.
Miami Heat star LeBron James has done the free agency dance once, though his approach came under fire primarily for his “The Decision” special. James had advice for Anthony as he prepares to test the waters.
“You got to do whatever makes [you] happy at the end of the day,” he said, via ESPN New York’s Ian Begley. “If you’re happy, the game of basketball is going to be fun for you. Strive to be great every day, and you can live with whatever else happens.”
Surprisingly James didn’t advice Anthony not to do a one-hour special. What he did say was good advice, if you’re happy basketball will be fun. The question is if that is in New York.
