The Carolina Panthers are hosting the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round of the NFC playoffs on Sunday. They could be getting wide receiver Steve Smith back in the line-up, he is telling people he’s “positive” he’s playing today.

It echoes things Smith said just two days ago, via ESPN:

"Smith said Friday that his knee feels “fine” and hopes to be ready to play Sunday.“I will be all right. I should be OK,” he said."

Smith injured his knee late in the regular season against the New Orleans Saints and missed the finale against the Atlanta Falcons. Smith was the team’s second-leading receiver this year. He caught 64 passes for 745 yards and four touchdowns. He also has seven touchdown catches in eight playoff games.
