According to a report from Yahoo’s Rand Getlin, the Texas Longhorns have done more work in building the coaching staff under new head man Charlie Strong by hiring Oklahoma State offensive line coach Joe Wickline to the same position in Austin.

This past weeks, talks began to heat up that the ‘Horns were after Wickline, which now appear to have been true.

Wickline has been at Oklahoma State since the 2005 season, and has been a hot commodity virtually ever since, especially in recent years. This also isn’t the first time that Texas has eyed him up as Mack Brown reportedly has wanted him on his staff more than once.

The talented coach is best known for developing versatile linemen that can not only block, but move around swiftly while doing so, which should benefit what Strong wants to do with the offense at Texas.
