On Sunday, just 24 hours after the Penn State Nittany Lions introduced James Franklin as their 16th head coach in the program’s history, they got a little something else to be happy about when top QB prospect Michael O’Connor let the entire fan base know that he’s still 100 percent committed to Happy Valley.
100% committed to PSU !! Wouldn’t wanna be anywhere else in the country , feels good to be done with recruiting. Start college classes tmrw

Not long after Bill O’Brien moved on to the Houston Texans, O’Connor backtracked on his commitment slightly, and a few schools were making calls to the four-star prospect.
But if there was one place that we knew Franklin would not fail at, it was recruiting and he appears to have gotten to work in a hurry in that regard.
In addition to O’Connor pledging his Penn State allegiance on Sunday, Franklin got two Vanderbilt commits to flip to Penn State on Saturday night, just hours after his introductory press conference ended.
Slowly but surely, all of the fears that Penn State fans had with O’Brien’s departure are being wiped away by their new head coach.
