Arizona State DE/OLB Carl Bradford declares for the NFL Draft

Arizona State pass rusher Carl Bradford has signed with an agent and declared for the NFL Draft.  Bradford has opted to leave along with defensive lineman Will Sutton and linebacker Chris Young who are graduating from the Sun Devil defense.  The Norco, California native leaves Tempe, Arizona with a ton of production including 20 sacks and 39.5 tackles for loss over the past two years.

Bradford added 10lbs to his frame from his redshirt sophomore to his redshirt junior year.  In addition to rushing the passer, Bradford has experience dropping into coverage and playing in a number of different roles for the Sun Devils.  For the most part, they just found ways to put him in position and let him attack and disrupt opposing offenses.

This year is showing an unprecedented amount of underclassmen declaring for the draft and hybrid pass rushers are no exception.  Bradford is more of a linebacker than he is a defensive end so he could be attractive to teams that run the 3-4 but he could end up playing a leo backer type position or an outside linebacker in a 4-3 that likes to attack from the second level.
