LSU RB Jeremy Hill declares for the NFL Draft

LSU running back Jeremy Hill has declared for the NFL Draft.  In a decision that weighed on him, Hill has opted to go pro after saying he would go back to LSU in an effort to pay back the school and head coach Les Miles for sticking with him through some ugly situations off of the field.  Miles and that staff may have not only given their blessing but actually pushed Hill to declare for the draft between his talent and the nature of the position.

The talent for Hill is there.  He is a powerful north-south runner who can be a hammer in the running game but also has the explosiveness to make big plays.  The off field questions are going to be significant as he had multiple situations that could be regarded as serious and could see him go undrafted entirely.  Someone will ultimately give him a shot, perhaps undrafted and if he can stay out of trouble, he can have a good career in the NFL.
