Remember when Mark Reynolds couldn’t find a job? I can.

The veteran corner infielder has struggled to find a job in the past but has seemingly become one of the hotter free agent commodities in baseball this offseason.

Multiple teams have expressed interest in the slugger, this according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports:

nationals, rangers, twins, orioles & yankees among teams that have been in on mark reynolds.

Rumors leaked early Monday morning suggesting the Yankees may not be as interested as some have led on, though, they’re essentially running with Kelly Johnson at the hot corner so a lack of interest is somewhat difficult to believe.

Reynolds can play either first or third base and can be used as a designated hitter as well.

A horrible hitter for average, it’s difficult to assume Reynolds would be given a full time starting gig but he’d be an extremely serviceable spot player who would bring immense power off the bench.

There’s been no mention of any salary figures yet, though it’s been reported the Yankees have offered Reynolds a minor league deal.
