The Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Clippers were three teams interested in signing Andrew Bynum when the Chicago Bulls cut him earlier last week. Now that almost a full week has passed, none of those three teams remain interested in signing Bynum which means he may have a hard time finding employment this season.

But Mark Cuban has weighed in on the matter and has expressed some interest in at least entertaining the idea of adding Bynum to the Mavericks roster. In speaking with ESPNDallas, Cuban didn’t say the Mavs were actively pursuing Bynum, but left the door wide open for it to be discussed.

"“If we have the Sam [Dalembert] of [Friday] night, we’re good. If we have the Sam that isn’t as on key as he was [Friday] night, it’s different. Again, we’re always being opportunistic. Wherever we can improve our team, we will.”"

That’s not necessarily Cuban sending a private jet to wherever Bynum is at the moment, but it’s also not a complete write off of the idea that Bynum could work in Dallas. Although working and playing in Dallas and having a contract there are two totally different things, just go ask the Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers what that’s like.
