Manchester United’s presence at the Juventus match against Cagliari has sparked speculation about what players manager David Moyes is interested in. United were reportedly interested in Cagliari defender Davide Astori and Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal. It looks like Moyes might have been interested in Juventus’ Claudio Marchisio as well.
“There is no problem with Marchisio. Claudio is a player who grew up in the Juventus youth teams and he loves the shirt,” general director Giuseppe Marotta told Radio Rai, via Sky Sports.
“During a busy season it is inevitable that every player will have their lows, but everything is normal.”
Sky Sports reported that Moyes was there to see if Victor Ibarbo came on as a substitute for Cagliari. They also reported that Moyes’ interest in Vidal is for a summer bid for the midfielder. Juventus could be bracing themselves to have their cupboards raided.
