The BB&T Center, home of the Florida Panthers, will host the 2015 National Hockey League Entry Draft. Over the course of the weekend the brightest young up and coming stars will descend on the Sunshine State along with front office staffs ad scouts from all 30 teams in the National Hockey League where they will get their chance to be picked up by some of the greatest teams in the entire league.
According to a press release from the Florida Panthers, Panthers President and CEO Michael R. Yormark expressed his excitement at the announcement and promised hockey fans a spectacular event.
“We are thrilled and honored to welcome the NHL Entry Draft back to the BB&T Center and Broward County,” Yormark said. “The 2015 NHL Entry Draft will be a spectacular event for this community on a number of levels, bringing material and economic impact to, and shining the spotlight on, Broward County while also giving our fans a glimpse of the future stars of the National Hockey League.”
This is not the first time that the Panthers have hosted the draft. The Panthers hosted the event back in 2001.
The 2015 NHL Entry Draft will take place from June 26-27, 2015. However, next up is the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, which will take place at the Wells Fargo Center, home of the Philadelphia Flyers, from June 27-28, 2014.
