This past weekend, actor turned ‘rapper’ (ugh) Drake held his own special night during a Toronto Raptors game which featured the MC announcing the starting lineup.
It also featured one of the most coveted game-night giveaways we’ve seen in recent memory.
In addition, Drake decided to give away a pair of his special edition Air Jordan shoes to a lucky fan. But rather than keep the sneakers, the entrepreneurial fan decided to post them on eBay where bidding has eclipsed $100,000 dollars in just a matter of days.
Per Yahoo Sports:
As more and more sneaker and hip-hop sites began to pick up on the scent, though, the bids continued to come in on the OVO Jordan Xs, and the price continued to increase … to a pretty insane degree. As of 2:55 p.m. ET on Tuesday, the high bid is $100,000 U.S.. Yep.
Of course, anybody that has shopped on the popular auction website knows that often times, people create fake accounts to bid so it’s doubtful the ‘winning bidder’ will ever actually pay for the shoes. Still – you can’t help but wonder what type of dollars they’d really fetch.
