Titan FC has reached a deal with the CBS Sports Network to air eight events in 2014. This is obviously a big step forward for the promotion, as they attempt to bring more free mixed martial arts bouts to a larger audience.

Titan FC was previously on AXS TV, but they are hoping their new home can help take the promotion to the next level.

“We feel that fans and fighters alike will be the true beneficiaries of the new Titan FC-CBS Sports Network deal,” Titan FC CEO Jeff Aronson stated. “Our main goal is to put out a product that will bring fans entertaining and competitive bouts and showcase our fighters.”

The inaugural event on CBS Sports Network, Titan FC 27, will be held on Feb. 28 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan. The event will be headlined by two former UFC fighters, Jorge Gurgel (14-9) and “The Ultimate Fighter 16” runner-up Mike Ricci (8-4).

Also on the card is two additional UFC veterans in Matthew Riddle (8-3) and Michael Kuiper (12-3), who will meet in the co-main event.

Bouts between featherweights Anthony Gutierrez (4-0) and Lee Sandmeier (9-0), featherweights Kurt Holobaugh (10-2) vs. Eric Marriott (22-7) and bantamweights Kevin Croom (14-4) vs. Bryan Goldsby (17-15) have been added to the undercard.

While the main card airs on CBS Sports Network, the preliminary card will be available via live stream on cbssportsnetwork.com.
