The American Horror Story is getting ready to wrap up their third season really soon. In fact, there are only three episodes left in the season if you include tonight’s episode entitled “Protect the Coven.” Naturally, as one season comes to an end, speculation regarding the next season kicks into high gear. American Horror Story is no different. Today, we have stumbled upon some new details that may shed some light upon the premise for American Horror Story Season 4.
Earlier today, Entertainment Weekly had a chance to speak to show creator Ryan Murphy, and he spilled some major beans as to the setting for next season of the hit FX original series.
“It’s set in 1950,” Murphy tells EW. “If you look historically what happened in the year 1950, there’s some more clues in that year. It’s a period piece. We try and do the opposite of what we’ve done before. Jessica Lange has already started practicing her German accent so I’m very excited!”
As you may have heard already, there have been rumors flying around that next season was to have something related to do with a Circus. There was even a trailer that has been making its rounds through the internet. While no one knows for sure if this trailer is authentic or not, I want you to pay close attention to something Murphy said.
“If you look historically what happened in the year 1950, there’s some more clues in that year.”
Now, I’m sure by now rabid fans like me have already taken to Google in order to try to figure out some small detail that may lead them to the premise for next season. Let me save you a little time; I’ve already done that.
In 1950 in Munich, Germany the Circus Krone Building, home to one of the largest circuses in Europe was rebuilt after being destroyed by bombing attacks in World War II. At that time, the Circus Krone was being directed by Frieda Sembach-Krone, the daughter of Carl Krone who originally founded the circus in 1905.
Could Jessica Lange be playing the role of Frieda Sembach-Krone? It is quite possible; however, it is also entirely possible that I am looking way too far into this.
At this point, everything is speculation with the exception of the information given by Murphy. However, don’t lie…you can totally see Jessica Lange in the role.
