Jerryd Bayless was traded from the Grizzlies to the Celtics for Courtney Lee, and he has already made his mark of the defensive end. During Monday night’s game against the Rockets, Bayless “ran into” Dwight Howard as Howard set a screen, and just like they often do, a sniper got him from the crowd.
Bayless flew back like he was hit by a truck and he hit the deck. Not only did they not draw a foul, but the league took note of it and he has been publicly warned for flopping. Bayless is the 19th player to be warned for flopping this season, and if he does it again, he will join James Harden and Corey Brewer as the only players who have been fined $5,000 for a second offense.
The Celtics have lost nine in a row, and it looks like they are in full tank mode. Rajon Rondo’s return is right around the corner though, and we will see if that has any effect on their record.
