DeMarre Carroll did not travel to London, is out for the Hawks due to birth of his daughter

The Hawks had a really good chance to make some noise in the playoffs this season, but their chances dropped dramatically when they lost Al Horford for the season. They still have some talent, and in a bad Eastern Conference, the Hawks should still get a high seed for the playoffs.

They are in London to take on the Nets on Thursday, and they will be underhanded. The Hawks announced that Carroll didn’t make the trip to London due to personal reasons, and we now know what those reasons are. Carroll is out due to the birth of his daughter, according to the AJC.

Although Carroll is missing out on all the European fun, I’m sure he’s just fine with his circumstances back in the states.

Carroll is a guy who brings tough defense to the Hawks, and has played better offensively this season than in years past. Congratulations to Carroll and his family on the birth of his daughter. As a guy who covers the Hawks and have spoken with Carroll, I can tell you that he is one of the nicer players in the NBA.
